EMU's Free Open-air Music Event Returns for It’s 10th Anniversary

New York, NY: Popular outdoor dance music event FROLIC, is returning to the Central Park’s Great Hill on Saturday July 9th, 2011 to celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary. This long-running annual art and music event, is a volunteer run community-based event whose purpose is to bring people of all ages together to exp...erience electronic music in a positive, open air setting. FROLIC is a leave-no-trace event funded through donations and volunteer support, with proceeds donated to help NYC children's Art and Music educational programs.

“We are very excited to celebrate the anniversary of our tenth event, and we plan on making it one of our most memorable yet. But this is not just a celebration of a milestone, this is a celebration of everyone who has supported our event in the past. We wouldn’t be here without them and the continued support of the community.”

– Mike SmileZ, FROLIC Director

We would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the years, and we invite supporters, both old and new to please lend us your support for this year's FROLIC. Please go to http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1848838737/help-us-help-nycs-children to make a donation to this year’s event.

FROLIC’s organizers are an urban grassroots consortium dedicated to promoting publicly-performed electronic music as an art form. The non-profit organization’s mission is to create spaces for electronic music fans to enjoy dancing in the daylight. They believe electronic music is the music that speaks in the frequency of our soul, and seek to use this music as a medium to enrich the lives of New York City's children by raising money for Arts and Music education.

Go to www.frolic-nyc.com for more information about FROLIC, including pictures from all of our previous events, as well as a very special thank you to all of our supporters over the last nine events.

Stay tuned for the complete artist line-up, after-party details, and volunteer information, coming soon!
